How to convert your foreign driving license to a Singapore driving license?
If you’re planning to stay in Singapore for the long haul, converting your foreign driving licence is a must. Most long-term pass holders (EP, STP, LTVP) can drive with a valid foreign licence for up to 12 months, while Work Permit and S-Pass holders are limited to 6 months.
Here is a quick guide to getting your local Singapore Driving Licence.
1. Pass the Basic Theory Test (BTT)
Before you can even apply for conversion, you must pass the Singapore Basic Theory Test (BTT). This test ensures you know the local Highway Code.
